About the Role

This is a part-time ESL Specialist position supporting students in Engineering, STEM, and other high-need courses. The role is suited for a retired educator or experienced teaching professional who wants to stay engaged in education, continue working with students, and contribute to learning in STEM areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group support in academic and technical English, including writing, reading, speaking, listening, and discipline-specific vocabulary.
• Work closely with faculty to develop instructional resources and align ESL support with course content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, or a related field
• At least one year of experience teaching or tutoring ESL learners
• Experience developing curriculum or instructional materials
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience supporting students in Engineering or STEM disciplines is preferred
