Department Manufacturing Job Category Manufacturing Description Responsibilities include: Setting up, operating, maintaining and cleaning the sterile Extended Shelf Life (ESL) filling equipmentMonitoring caps, codes, weights and carton integrityTasting products for qualityMaintaining sterility of equipment related to ESL filling and conveyingMaintaining sterility in the ESL filling area at all timesMaintaining a hygienic, tightly controlled environment for the packaging of ESL productsDisassembling and reassembling fillers and associated equipment for cleaning and ensuring they are safe and sterileManual and hand cleaning of the equipment in the ESL packaging area Cleaning the environment of the filling roomOperating and documenting daily CIP and sterilization activities of the equipmentOperating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipmentAccurately recording daily production data and regulatory information and verifying they are within the established control limits for proper operationPerforming laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of productProducing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and regulatory standardsPerforming minor repairs, preventative maintenance and mechanical adjustments as needed andOther duties as assigned. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
