About the role
To provide related services of counseling to ESE students in order for students to benefit from exceptional education.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing counseling and support to ESE students for the purpose of improving emotional well-being and academic performance.
Requirements
- An earned master's degree in mental health counseling, school counseling, social work, psychology or marriage and family therapy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years within the last five (5) years of successful experience as a mental health counselor, school counselor, clinical psychologist, school psychologist, social worker or in a field related to the title of the position.
- A valid Florida license as a counselor in a mental health-related field, or certification in social work, or school counseling.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
