Responsibilities

• Transports patients admitted to the hospital to their assigned rooms and assists with their transportation needs upon dismissal or short-term leave.
• Completes patient transports in a timely manner.
• Maintains clean equipment.
• Interacts politely and professionally with patients, visitors, and medical center staff.
• Functions independently, frequently with direction via phone or pager.
• Works flexible hours, including days, evenings, day/evenings, holidays, weekends, and split shifts with rotating days off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Requires good communication, telephone, and human relation skills to interact with patients, guests, and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.
• Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
