Game Masters are the face of our company, welcoming and guiding each guest with a smile. You should be friendly and attentive but not overbearing—just enough to ensure everyone has an unforgettable experience!
Breakout Operations LLC provides a real-life escape room adventure for small groups in Lexington, Kentucky. Our business model is simple: provide a great environment for friends, family, or coworkers to solve puzzles, crack codes, find hidden items, and more before time runs out.
Activate is a state-of-the-art facility offering a wide variety of gaming experiences. Guests enter a video game-like environment and become active players, completing challenges mentally and physically. Unlike virtual reality, Activate is a real-life experience where each challenge lasts under 3 minutes and is designed to be difficult, often requiring multiple attempts. Players wear electronic wristbands synced to their profiles to track scores and game completion.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide an exciting introduction to their experience
- Run games for guests and offer helpful clues when needed
- Celebrate wins with guests and remain positive and encouraging, regardless of their success
- Help create lasting memories for groups
- Reset rooms for the next group of escape artists
- Communicate with guests in-person and over the phone
- Perform other day-to-day functions as directed by the General Manager
Requirements
- Love puzzles, riddles, and/or escape rooms
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills (ability to articulate clearly)
- Basic technology skills (computer, email, etc.)
- Dependable and respectful
- Ability to sit for extended periods and focus for up to an hour at a time
- Ability to lift 30 lbs., reach, squat, kneel, and climb a ladder
