About the role

Join a healthcare team as a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical nursing, providing direct patient care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Apply standards of medical-surgical practice to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Build effective relationships with patients, families, and the care team to develop personalized care plans.
• Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Consider physical, cultural, social, economic, spiritual, and developmental factors in care strategies.
• Collaborate with the inter-professional team and advocate for patients’ needs.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
• Mentor colleagues and foster a positive work environment.
• Apply evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Current RN license in the state or a Compact State and Basic Life Support certification.
• No prior experience required.

Schedule

• Night shift with self-scheduling.
