ER Veterinary Technician

Pay

Pay is $20 - $37 / hour, dependent on experience and credentials, determined via the Kahuna leveling system.

Schedule

Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 7a-7p
Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases as they come in
• Absorb and go over estimates as needed
• Perform diagnostics (radiographs, labwork, etc)
• Set up patients in ICU or Inpatient ward
• Discharge patients
• Handle client communication

• Knowledgeable and skilled in veterinary care

Skills

• Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration
• Perform phlebotomy
• Perform physical exam
• Count heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort
• Possess a working knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment
• Remain current on R.E.C.O.V.E.R CPR guidelines
