About the role

The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The department treats major and minor illnesses, including cardiac, stroke, and behavioral health issues. Staff may also provide care for orthopedic injuries or minor trauma. The rapid care area is designated for minor illnesses.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties under the supervision of the RN.
• Maintain the standards of nursing care for all patients.
• Implement the policies and procedures of the Emergency Department, Hospital, and Nursing Department.

Requirements

• Entry-level knowledge and basic employment skills.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Medical terminology.
• Cardiac Arrhythmia Recognition.
• Orthopedic splinting skills.
• Phlebotomy/Medlock insertion skills.
• CPR Certification.
• Cardiac Arrhythmia Recognition Test.
• Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant License.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $27.29 Based On Experience
