About the role

Mission Community Hospital is currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our growing and caring Emergency Department team on the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Independently utilize the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient care to a diverse group of emergency patients.
• Deliver individualized, high-quality patient care through a coordinated team approach, working closely with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients, and their families.
• Practice in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and comply with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.

Requirements

• Current license with the California State Nursing Board.
• Ability to interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary services and community resources and supportive agencies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality - HIPAA.
• Efficient level of organizational skills.
• Proficient frontline communication skills.
• Demonstrated verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in computer operations.

Qualifications

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Certification, FIRE CARD (within 90 days of hire), MAB (within 30 days of hire), Advanced MAB (within 30 days of hire).
• Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Course – Preferred.
• ENPC, TNCC, and CEN – Preferred.
