Essential Functions
- Treats and provides care for patients.
- Manages and coordinates patient care across specialists and providers.
- Orders and interprets tests.
- Prescribes medication and treatment regimens.
- Educates patients and their families.
- Conducts discharge planning and writes discharge summaries.
- Refers patients to medical specialists, social services, or other professionals.
- Participates in continuing education activities to maintain or enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Requires Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Requires current BLS certification upon hire.
- Requires ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
