About the role

Jump-start your career as an ER Discharge Coordinator today with Grand Strand Medical Center. The truest intent of the ER discharge coordinator is a bedside-initiated patient experience, with the objectives of increased contact rate, scheduling immediacy, and improved overall patient experience. You will create and maintain a positive customer experience in a patient-centered, quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Speaks with customers, patients and stakeholders in a pleasant and professional manner;
• Communicates appropriately and clearly with department leadership, co-workers and customers/patients;
• Schedules patients for follow-up care bedside when appropriate;
• Ensures performance and quality standards are met;
• Provides superior customer service to internal and external customers and patients;
• Supports the vision and strategy of the organization, positively promotes the services offered, and elevates issues to leadership as appropriate;
• Suggests ideas for positive changes to department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

One year of related experience is preferred.
