Equity Research Vice President – U.S. Oil & Gas Research A leading and growing global investment and corporate bank is seeking an Equity Research Vice President who will work with an established and experienced energy research team, focusing on SMID Cap U.S. Oil and Gas Exploration and Production. Role envisions direct coverage of ~10 stocks, with potential for growth over time. Key Responsibilities Writing research reports, including company initiations, industry thought pieces, and earnings recapsBuilding dynamic industry models consisting of integrated Income Statement/Balance Sheet/Cash Flow StatementsSourcing alternative data sets and simplifying and summarizing relevant industry and company information for inclusion in research reportsConducting proprietary research evaluating the competitive landscape, and analyzing industry/company newsCreating and maintaining relationships with industry contactsHelping senior team members prepare for marketing events and conferences Key Qualifications Highly motivated and hard-working individual who is a team player, and has a thirst for knowledge, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and is detail-orientedIdeal candidate will have a minimum 5-6 years of prior equity research experience; otherwise, prior experience in banking in the U.S. E&P sector.Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses, and/or CFA level 1 preferredStrong analytical and financial modeling skills; prior experience building models and DCF-based valuation methodologyEffective oral communication, organizational and time management skillsAbility to write clearly and concisely, and ability to function independently while maintaining a collegial and collaborative approach to working with other team membersCompensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and capabilities The expected base salary ranges from $180,000 - $200,000 Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
