Equity Research Associate

About the role

An Associate position at LifeSci Capital is the perfect intersection between finance, business, and the life sciences.

Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the biotechnology sector.
• Work directly with analysts to evaluate drugs in various therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology, neurology, or genetic medicine.
• Dissect scientific literature, perform market analyses, and participate in dialogue with the world’s top physician scientists as well as the C-suites of public companies.
• Master the process of performing fundamental due diligence on a company, modeling and valuation techniques, and communicating findings to top biotech investors.
• Produce high-quality, sector-wide, and company-specific equity research providing valuable analysis to the biotechnology industry and investment professionals.
• Have, or obtain, FINRA licenses SIE, Series 7, Series 86, and Series 87.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in a medical, scientific or biotech/biomed related fields (MD, PhD, MS)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate and disseminate complex scientific information to a variety of stakeholders
• Some prior Equity Research experience in the biotech industry
