Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (On-site)
This is a 12-month contract assignment with openings on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
About the role
This position supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts, and designs solutions for the Production System. The role involves compiling and analyzing technical data to determine effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.
Responsibilities
- Support the evaluation of program and project requirements to develop equipment and tooling concepts.
- Compile and analyze technical data to determine effects on product engineering design and rate estimates.
- Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, and ergonomic factors.
- Validate contractual performance milestones and maintain configuration control.
- Conduct reviews and prepare plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware, software, and documentation.
- Support studies for the disposition of assets.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- Two or more years of experience working in a production and/or manufacturing environment.
- Two or more years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Good communication skills.
Pay
The anticipated pay range for this position is $42.00/hr to $52.00/hr. The final pay rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and the specific requirements of the role.
