From heavy construction equipment to hand tools, our team works hard to deliver reliable equipment and exceptional customer service every day.About the PositionWe are looking for an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of rental equipment, both at the store and at customer job sites.The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-minded, and able to adjust priorities when an urgent customer need arises.ResponsibilitiesInspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair rental equipmentEvaluate equipment issues and complete repairs safely and efficientlyPerform service calls and equipment repairs at customer job sitesOperate and test equipment to verify that repairs have been completed properlyComplete timely and detailed service reports and repair logsCommunicate repair status and job progress with managers and team membersIdentify and order necessary parts and equipmentMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentProperly use personal protective equipment and follow all company safety proceduresTravel safely and courteously to and from customer locationsAssist with other departmental duties as neededComplete at least 20 hours of continued education and training each yearProvide professional and helpful service to both customers and coworkers QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentAt least two years of mechanical experienceValid California driver’s license with a clean driving recordBasic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment repairDependable and punctualSelf-motivated and team-orientedStrong attention to detailGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to change direction and reprioritize work to address urgent customer needsPhysical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to:Frequently squat, reach, push, and pullStand or sit for extended periodsRegularly lift and move items weighing up to 80 poundsOccasionally lift up to 100 poundsMove safely over uneven terrain and within confined spacesRespond quickly to sounds and potentially dangerous situationsSafely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 poundsWork outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditionsProperly wear personal protective equipment for most of the workdayIf you are a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work, we’d like to hear from you.Apply today to join the Aaction Rents team.Aaction Rents is an equal opportunity employer.
