About the role

Equipment Technicians work with reusable medical equipment (RME) used to deliver care. They are responsible for cleaning, preparing, and inventorying equipment. They also maintain and store reusable medical equipment, performing regular/routine cleaning and expiration date checks.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing reusable medical equipment
• Maintaining and storing reusable medical equipment
• Performing routine cleaning and expiration date checks
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Six (6) months prior experience preferred in storeroom, central supply, sterilization, or Pyxis Supply Station operations
• Good overall knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and their usage

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Regularly required to walk, reach, stretch, stand for long periods, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Must have close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation
• Irregular hours including weekends, relatively high stress due to distribution needs and ongoing communication

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
