Equipment Specialist (Phoenix, AZ)

Summary

Mortenson is seeking an Equipment Specialist (Non-Traveler) to support day-to-day operations and build customer relationships. This role involves managing various processes and supporting project teams, Equipment Facility teams, Buyers, and ESM HQ Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill established procedures for receiving and processing equipment facility orders and returns from the field
• Generate purchase orders for equipment purchases and rentals
• Reconcile and process billing of contracts, invoices, and work orders daily
• Support electronic and physical inventory management
• Update and change Task Codes and Off-Rent dates with input from project teams
• Prepare and present inventory management reports to teams, including scheduled and on-demand reports
• Schedule and lead Pre-Mob meetings with site leadership to plan project startup needs
• Lead monthly equipment review meetings with project and accounting teams
• Facilitate LEAN / 5S initiatives and equipment plans
• Handle DOT registration and respond to DOT inquiries
• Participate in equipment facility safety programs, including environmental surveys
• Provide equipment solutions and issue resolutions for project teams, including recommendations for type and maintenance of equipment
• Dispatch and schedule equipment deliveries, including logistics planning
• Effectively work and build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 1+ years of rental equipment, construction, and/or related professional experience or 2+ years of the same relevant experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
• Superior attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills
• Ability to assess and prioritize multiple customer needs
• Working knowledge of purchasing/rental processes and procedures
• Strong organization and planning skills

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $69,500 – $93,900 (Actual range is higher for Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.

Schedule

This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
