About the Role
As an Equipment Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth across multiple equipment categories. You will develop relationships with doctors and key practice staff, execute cold call strategies, generate referrals, plan and coordinate events, prepare for sales visits, and actively seek information about Patterson products and services.
Responsibilities
- Generate Sales: Drive profitable sales growth, acquire new accounts, and discuss equipment and technology solutions based on specific customer needs.
- Sales Planning: Develop short and long-term business goals, analyze customer needs, and communicate financial benefits of equipment purchases.
- Equipment and Technology Sales: Demonstrate and sell equipment and technology, coordinate with other sales professionals, and provide post-sale support.
- Project Management: Prepare project schedules, monitor facility projects, evaluate plans and blueprints, and make suggestions for modifications.
- Customer Relations: Provide post-sale support, demonstrate product use, respond to customer queries, hold client relationship meetings, and consult on real estate agents, general contractors, and other service providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any related field and 3 to 5 years' of business-to-business outside sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Strong initiative with exceptional customer service, planning, and organization skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate.
- Previous success attaining and exceeding sales goals.
- General computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office.
- A valid driver's license.
- 3+ years of dental industry experience preferred.
