Equipment Specialist
Job Description
The Equipment Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of equipment across Diversified Maintenance's divisions. This position oversees equipment repair and maintenance, coordinates third-party subcontractors, tracks equipment locations, and develops strategies for regional repair centers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee equipment repair and maintenance; self-perform and coordinate third party subcontractors
- Track; identify location of all equipment in field
- Open order tracking and delivery
- Develop schedule for in-field maintenance
- Develop schedule and training for preventative maintenance
- Consultation; assist in determining proper equipment needs for buildings
- Develop and execute startup equipment and tools strategy and execution
- Travel into field to assist with start-up businesses and requisition of equipment
- Execute work orders for proper functioning of Birmingham facility
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial industry
- Business level oral and written communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Able to multitask and adapt to changing environments
- Excellent customer service skills; active listening skills
- Able to lead and encourage teamwork; able to negotiate and resolve conflict
