About the role

The Equipment & Sanitation Supervisor at SkyChefs oversees equipment deliveries to all departments and manages a commercial dish‑room operation, ensuring all equipment, carts, and service items are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use. This hands‑on leadership role requires working side‑by‑side with the team on the floor, keeping operations moving, solving problems in real time, and ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate is flexible, self‑starting, a quick learner with basic computer skills, proactive in problem identification, and possesses strong communication and directional abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize a high‑performing team to ensure on‑time and accurate production.
• Run daily huddles to keep everyone focused and energized.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and food‑quality compliance with regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP).
• Optimize staffing and schedules to hit productivity and cost goals.
• Manage equipment inventory, maintenance, and sanitation programs to ensure efficiency.
• Implement innovative solutions to improve workflow and reduce waste.
• Ensure every flight is catered accurately and on schedule.
• Participate in special projects and company initiatives to make an impact.
• Motivate, coach, and develop the team while living company values.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in food production, warehousing, assembly, or high‑volume operations.
• Experience leading teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Comfortable being hands‑on and on your feet throughout the shift.
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly.

Qualifications

• Experience in airline catering and/or high‑volume fulfillment or logistics.
• Background in sanitation or dish‑room operations.
• Proactive ownership—does not wait to be told what to do.
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.

Pay

Salary Range: $56,949.36 – $65,000.00
