Equipment Rental Specialist

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction and industrial equipment. This position serves as the Company’s front line of contact with the customer, focusing on understanding customer equipment needs, negotiating and placing orders, and delivering customer satisfaction through a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support customers via telephone and in-person interactions for equipment rentals.
• Understand and assess customer equipment needs.
• Negotiate and place orders for construction and industrial equipment.
• Utilize strong administrative skills to ensure smooth transactions.
• Maintain a professional attitude to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with various types of construction and industrial tools & equipment.
• Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and telephone skills.
• Solid computer and administrative skills.
• Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.

Physical Demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching.
• Lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Working indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $21.38 - $25.38 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
