Equipment Operator - Utility

About the role

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, seeks a Front-End Loader Operator to join our dynamic team. This position works closely with laborers to complete various construction tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow daily job specifications and maintain equipment according to the Daily Equipment Checklist
• Communicate effectively with the Site Foreman about job requirements
• Perform daily pre-startup checks and ensure equipment is in good condition
• Wipe down equipment to maintain a positive public image and facilitate inspections
• Complete safe driver training and possess a valid driver's license
• Assist with laborer tasks as needed

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
• Ability to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document
• Professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and the public
• Willingness to work long hours and adhere to safety requirements
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist with other duties as required
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Desirable: experience cutting/welding, physical labor skills
• Great attention to detail and stress tolerance
