Equipment Operator - Utility

About the role

Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, seeks a Front-End Loader Operator to join our dynamic team. This position works closely with laborers to complete various tasks efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader and other heavy equipment
• Follow daily job specifications communicated by the Site Foreman
• Ensure equipment is in good condition through daily pre-startup procedures
• Communicate effectively with the Site Foreman about job progress
• Perform physical labor such as shoveling as needed
• Operate service equipment and perform routine maintenance
• Display professional behavior and adhere to safety guidelines

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical
• Willingness to work long hours and in a team environment
• Ability to follow directions and operate various heavy equipment
• Desirable skills in cutting/welding and attention to detail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and the public
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist others as needed
• Ability to complete safe driver training and obtain a CDL if necessary
• Age 18 or older
