About the role
This position assists with the “Million Tree Initiative” of the 2006 Greenprint Denver Action Agenda. This position will report to the “Million Tree” Program Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Developing and establishing work processes and procedures in order to deliver the services of the program.
- Participates in the ongoing evaluation of the program; including the recommendation of efficiency driving changes.
- Affords assistance in the development of program budget and grant preparation.
- Interprets and explains policies, processes, applicable laws, rules, regulations and program guidelines.
- Collaborates with partnering agencies and provides follow through to ensure that deadlines and requirements are met.
- Performs administrative and paraprofessional functions in order to execute the administrative elements of the program.
- Provides information and advice to current and potential participants through the in-depth knowledge of the program and its goals.
Requirements
- Requires an Associate Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science or a related field and three years of professional or technical experience working with environmental impact issues and sustainability.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and administrative skills, as well as effective problem solving is a plus.
