Equipment Operator Medium - Streets

Essential Functions

Operates a front-end loader.

Operates a backhoe, trencher tamp and related equipment in the maintenance and construction of storm water systems.

Operates a heavy storm drain cleaning equipment.

Operates multi-purpose equipment in laying storm drains.

Operates some heavy sweepers in cleaning road and streets.

Serves and makes minor repairs to equipment.

Operates a dump truck engaged in sanding and plowing icy streets and roads and in snow removal when not operating medium to heavy equipment.

Operates light equipment.

When not operating equipment, performs semi-skilled work on the job site.

Cleans and cares for tools and equipment.

Typical Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the eleventh grade and considerable experience in the operation of motorized equipment.
• Ability to operate large Jet Truck.
• Ability to oversee crew in absents of Crew Leader.
