Equipment Operator - Medium
Responsibilities
- Receives written, visual, and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.
- Coincides machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
- Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.
- Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
- Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.
- Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment.
- Lifts and moves dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment.
- Drives and maneuvers equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, or rocks or to distribute and level earth or terrain.
Qualifications
- Four years of experience in a related position.
- Preferred qualifications: Ability to read, interpret, and understand plans and specifications, High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $28.94 per hour.
Schedule
This is a safety sensitive position.
