Also remove the "The City of Wichita is NOT an E-Verify Employer." maybe considered EEO? It's a statement about E-Verify, maybe considered legal boilerplate. The instruction says remove EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. The E-Verify statement might be considered legal. Safer to remove it. Also remove the "Posting may close at any time" maybe considered boilerplate? It's a note about posting closure; could be considered meta but not required. Probably remove. We need to preserve substantive info: Distinguishing Features of Work, Examples of Work Performed, Requirements of Work. Also maybe "About the role" could be derived from Distinguishing Features? The instruction: Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we need to map content to these headings. The posting includes "Distinguishing Features of Work" which could be "About the role". "Examples of Work Performed" could be "Responsibilities". "Requirements of Work" could be "Requirements" or "Qualifications" or "Skills". We need to decide. We have sections: About the role (distinguishing features), Responsibilities (examples of work performed), Requirements (requirements of work). Possibly also Skills (some of the requirements could be skills). But we should avoid thin sections. We can combine Requirements and Skills into one? But we need to follow instruction: Use headings only when posting has real, specific content for it. So we can create sections for About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements. Possibly also Qualifications if distinct. But the requirements list includes knowledge, skills, abilities, licenses. Could be split into Requirements and Skills. However to avoid many thin sections, we could put all under Requirements. But the instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So maybe three sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. We need to output only HTML fragment: e.g.

About the role

...

Responsibilities

  • ...
  • ...

Requirements

  • ...
  • ...
We need to preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include the details from Distinguishing Features, Examples of Work Performed, Requirements of Work. We need to format as

for prose,

  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Thus for About the role: we can put the Distinguishing Features paragraph(s) as prose. Distinguishing Features of Work: "This position requires experience in heavy equipment operation including excavation, bulldozers, and mobile cranes for Flood Control. This is skilled work in the safe and efficient operation of heavy and specialized automotive equipment and/or supervision of a crew engaged in maintenance or construction activities which includes minor repair and servicing. Work may involve filling in for a supervisor in his/her absence. Work is performed independently under the general direction of the supervisor." We should keep that as a

. Responsibilities: Examples of Work Performed list. It includes prose and list of equipment. The text: "Operates heavy equipment to perform assigned maintenance and construction tasks. Examples of equipment operated include, but are not limited to, street sweepers, bulldozers, large graders, scrapers, large backhoes, large ditch digging machines, semi tractor trailers and windrowing machines, and stormwater combo cleaners. Specializes in a specific operation and ensures that it is done well. Performs mechanical maintenance and service work on equipment operated. Assists supervisors in various phases of operations, including daily assignments of work tasks and completion of paperwork. These examples are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other related duties may be assigned as needed." We could break into

    for prose sentences and

    • for the equipment list. But the instruction: Use
      • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we need to make a list for the equipment examples. Also maybe list for duties? Could also list duties as items. But we can keep prose for duties and list for equipment. Thus:

        Responsibilities

Operates heavy equipment to perform assigned maintenance and construction tasks.

Specializes in a specific operation and ensures that it is done well.

Performs mechanical maintenance and service work on equipment operated.

Assists supervisors in various phases of operations, including daily assignments of work tasks and completion of paperwork.

These examples are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

        • street sweepers
        • bulldozers
        • large graders
        • scrapers
        • large backhoes
        • large ditch digging machines
        • semi tractor trailers
        • windrowing machines
        • stormwater combo cleaners
But we need to preserve "Examples of equipment operated include, but are not limited to, ..." So we could keep that as a sentence preceding the list. Could incorporate:

Examples of equipment operated include, but are not limited to:

        then list. Thus:

Operates heavy equipment to perform assigned maintenance and construction tasks.

Specializes in a specific operation and ensures that it is done well.

Performs mechanical maintenance and service work on equipment operated.

Assists supervisors in various phases of operations, including daily assignments of work tasks and completion of paperwork.

These examples are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Examples of equipment operated include, but are not limited to:

          ...
Now Requirements of Work: It's a long list of knowledge, skills, abilities. We need to output as list items. Could group into categories but we can just list each sentence as
      • . However we need to avoid losing detail. The text includes many sentences separated by semicolons or line breaks. We'll split at each distinct ability/knowledge. Let's extract: - Considerable knowledge of automotive equipment operation - Knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in construction and maintenance activities - May require knowledge of methods used in making concrete, asphalt and brick repairs; or knowledge of paints, thinners and related supplies - Skill in the care and operations of heavy and specialized equipment - Ability to lead the work of others in maintenance operations - Ability to work outdoors when inclement weather conditions exist - Ability to tolerate exposure to airborne environmental nuisances associated with traffic and machine exhaust, open grounds, and construction - Ability to safely
