About the role

The Equipment Operator II- Site Work position at our Portland ME site is responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment and machinery to perform site work tasks. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and bulldozers.
• Perform site preparation tasks including grading, trenching, and excavation.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Proficient in using hand tools and basic machinery maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and bulldozers.
• Knowledge of construction site safety standards and practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
