About the role
The Department of Transportation, Highways Division has ONE (1) urgent vacancy located in Lihue. This position REQUIRES a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and no restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes) at the time of application.
Responsibilities
- Operates of TWO (2) or more types of motorized equipment such as trucks, backhoes and tractors/excavators having a factory rated capacity of 1 1/2 but less than 5 tons as a major work assignment;
- May perform manual work task in connection with general construction and maintenance work;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least two of the motorized equipment representatives of the class Equipment Operator II (e.g., trucks having a factory rated capacity of 1-1/2 but less than 5 tons, and rollers under 5 tons), or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B, with Endorsement N (Tank vehicles 1,000 gallons or more capacity), and NO restrictions relating to codes E (manual transmission), L (air brakes), and Z (full air brakes).
