Equipment Operator II, DPW Highway

Job Description

Skilled manual work in the operation of specialized and heavy equipment and other public works vehicles and in performing construction and maintenance activities; all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma and three years of experience in public works construction and maintenance activities including the operation of heavy equipment
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Massachusetts CDL Class A Unrestricted drivers license with air brake and tanker endorsements
• Massachusetts Hydraulic Hoisting 2A and 1C license required
• Massachusetts Class 4G Hoisting License preferred

Additional Qualifications

• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions
• Demonstrated skill in operating and maintaining all types of special and heavy equipment and trucks
