Equipment Operator II
Key Responsibilities
Operate vans, single-axle buses, golf carts, and similar vehicles in accordance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and organizational policies.
The work also includes monitoring the mechanical condition and cleanliness of the equipment, inspecting and maintaining fluid and air pressure levels, and keeping associated records and reports.
Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Work Location
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience operating cargo vans, golf carts, buses, or similar equipment
- Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience operating cargo vans, golf carts, buses, or similar equipment to transport people
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a Passenger Endorsement
Conditions of Employment
- Must be willing and able to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle check and drug test
- Subject to pre-employment, post-accident, incident, or reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing per UCD Facilities Operations Department Policies
- May be required to “Subject to call 24 hours per day, seven days per week” and may be required to “Stay over late” or “Come in early” to “Cover” shifts, as needed and may be required to respond to any emergencies as needed.
- Must be willing and able to safely operate University vehicles
- Must be willing and able to walk, stand, use manual dexterity, and eye/hand coordination constantly
- Must be willing and able to sit, climb, crawl, kneel, bend, reach, push, and pull frequently
- Must be willing and able to work outside, exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather, and in high, exposed places
- Must be willing and able to work with others and effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Anticipated Pay Range
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $46,589 – $51,255.
