Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform start-up operation from power off/cold state; complete equipment and product paperwork, such as traceability and start-up checklist.
- Conduct Level I required preventive maintenance tasks.
- Participate in changeovers to include line clearance, system transactions, and associated documentation.
- Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition and inventory management systems.
- Pull test samples for QC in process inspection, remove completed production from machine and place in finished goods totes.
- Fill component Hoppers/Bowls as required to maintain production.
- Perform minor troubleshooting to diagnose machine performance issues; escalate to assigned Technician when required to ensure resolution.
- Perform line clearance activities and return equipment to proper operation.
- Update hourly production boards with production and efficiency numbers; note issues that prevented goal attainment (downtime, waste, quality, etc.).
- Submit machine repair tags to identify issues requiring support services.
- Ensure that product not meeting quality specifications is processed under non-conformance procedures/requirements.
- Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
- Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Good Verbal and written communication skills.
- Read, write, understand and communicate in English.
- Understanding of and ability to use computers.
- Sound judgment for use in machine troubleshooting and product disposition.
- Good interpersonal skills to facilitate communication at various levels and areas within the organization.
- Must accurately follow both verbal and written instructions.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A High School Diploma, or GED with 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred; or Technical Certificate with associated relevant experience.
