Responsibilities

• Operates TWO (2) or more types of light motorized equipment such as Farmall International or John Deere rubber-wheeled tractors and pick-up trucks as a major work assignment;
• May perform manual work tasks in connection with general construction and maintenance work;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience and Training: ONE (1) YEAR of work experience involving the operation of at least two of the motorized equipment representative of the class Equipment Operator I (e.g., Farmall tractors and trucks having a factory rated capacity of less than 1-1/2 tons), or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Select Certification Requirement: Applicant must be able to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and lift/carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds assisted by another person and/or use of equipment (e.g. hoisting equipment, hand truck).

• Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
