Equipment Operator (Dozer, Motor Grader, Excavator)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate one or more of the following:
• Dozers
• Motor Graders
• Excavators
• Perform grading, excavation, ditching, slope work, and site preparation activities.
• Read and understand grade stakes, site plans, and project specifications.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment issues or repair needs promptly.
• Work closely with survey crews, foremen, utility crews, and project management teams.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain productivity while producing high-quality work.
• Assist with other construction activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Experience operating at least one of the following: dozer, motor grader, or excavator.
• Ability to safely work around utilities, structures, traffic, and other equipment.
• Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site development operations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as required.
• PREFERRED: Experience on highway, heavy civil, utility, or site development projects.
• PREFERRED: GPS machine control experience (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, or similar systems).
• PREFERRED: Experience reading construction plans and grade information.
• PREFERRED: OSHA 10 or other construction safety training.
