Equipment Operator (Dozer, Motor Grader, Excavator)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate one or more of the following:
- Dozers
- Motor Graders
- Excavators
- Perform grading, excavation, ditching, slope work, and site preparation activities.
- Read and understand grade stakes, site plans, and project specifications.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify and report equipment issues or repair needs promptly.
- Work closely with survey crews, foremen, utility crews, and project management teams.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain productivity while producing high-quality work.
- Assist with other construction activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Experience operating at least one of the following: dozer, motor grader, or excavator.
- Ability to safely work around utilities, structures, traffic, and other equipment.
- Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site development operations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as required.
- PREFERRED: Experience on highway, heavy civil, utility, or site development projects.
- PREFERRED: GPS machine control experience (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, or similar systems).
- PREFERRED: Experience reading construction plans and grade information.
- PREFERRED: OSHA 10 or other construction safety training.
