Equipment Operator

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Installs liners in shipping containers
• Pictures and documents any and all container conditions
• Performs daily preventative maintenance checks of equipment as required
• Escalates equipment mechanical issues to Lead Equipment Operator
• Accurately verifies freight for quality and quantity
• Performs cycle counting as required
• Communicates with others appropriately

Requirements

• Previous experience operating yard truck / equipment
• Computer skills required
• Experience with warehouse management systems helpful
• Experience with warehouse RF equipment preferred
• Knowledge of safety regulations
• High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or lay on back
• Frequently required to push, pull, and extend arms overhead
• Must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a confined area for two or more hours at a time
