Equipment Operator

About the role

The Public Works Equipment Operator is responsible for operating various heavy machinery and equipment to maintain and improve the city’s infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and dump trucks.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of public works projects.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using heavy machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Excellent communication skills.

Skills

• Knowledge of construction techniques and materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Pay
