About the role

Label Works, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking an Equipment Operator in our North Mankato, MN facility. You will work in the shipping area, responsible for packaging and shipping orders with minimal equipment operation. We’ll train you to become proficient and a Label Expert.

Work authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic or semi-automatic machines in a continuous production/processing operation, including cutters, slitters, and shrink wrappers
• Assist in shipping area by pre-boxing and preparing orders
• Proofread and quality-check product
• Clean and maintain work areas in compliance with safety regulations
• Assist in other departmental areas as workload requires

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
• Ability to operate equipment to meet production and quality standards
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders
• Strong attention to detail
• Regularly stand, remain stationary, and move throughout the facility
• Constantly operate machinery and handle print materials
• Regularly move up to 40+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry)

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Experience in a production-related environment (preferred)

Schedule

1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $16 - $21, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
