Equipment Operator
About the role
We are currently seeking a qualified Equipment Operator for our log yard and to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Noti, Oregon.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate log yard equipment to load/unload log trucks and maintain production speed
- Assist in sorting logs by species and feed logs to the sawmill
- Climb ladders on heavy equipment and operate machinery
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Maintain a clean and orderly log yard, keeping log yard and mill decks clean and clear of debris
- The work is fast-paced and can, at times, be demanding
- Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold work environments
- Work may consist of various shifts with some overtime and weekend work during busy production times
Qualifications
- 1 year prior experience operating heavy equipment and chainsaw
- Ability to recognize and sort logs by species preferred
- All applicants must be at least age 18
