Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Use forklift to unload inbound materials.
• Review and report discrepancies or damaged items.
• Create inbound marker scan detail.
• Move items to appropriate storage locations pending audit & verification.
• Audit by scanning to visually verify proper product and count of items; report any discrepancies.
• Place items into stock based on primary stocking locations.
• Proactively monitor, correct, and update items being put into stock.
• Ensure adherence to work instructions for labeling, packaging, securing product, and storage.
• Utilize proper pallets and cartons to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform proper startup safety checks of all equipment at the start of each shift.
• Repack pallets and cartons and clean up work area according to work instructions.
• Maintain overall appearance of inventory so it is visually easy to see/read, count is accurate, and material is safely stored.

Position‑Specific Competencies

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Working knowledge of current ERP system.
• Familiarity with tablet and scanning system/equipment.
• Forklift certification (stand‑up and sit‑down).

Education & Experience

• At least 1–2 years of previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Stand‑up and sit‑down forklift experience.
• Ability to lift, push/pull, and stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with daily PC use.
• Continual reach‑truck/forklift activity.
• Time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Frequent lifting and push/pull up to 50 lb, occasionally up to 75 lb.
• Walking and standing for long periods on concrete floors (full shifts).

Schedule

First shift – Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime.
