Equipment Operator

About the role

We seek a reliable, mechanically inclined Equipment Operator to join our mulch manufacturing team. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who understands heavy equipment, enjoys troubleshooting, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently. Job Location: National Structure - White Marsh, 6275 Days Cove Road, White Marsh, MD 21162.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including wheel loaders (Volvo L90), excavators, grinders, and dye machines
• Keeping yard area neat and organized
• Some labor work will be involved
• Monitor production processes to ensure consistent, high-quality mulch output
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and minimize downtime
• Load, move, and process raw materials safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating heavy equipment required
• Loading customer and commercial vehicles
• Strong mechanical aptitude (ability to diagnose and fix minor equipment issues)
• Experience in manufacturing, landscaping materials, or similar environment preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor setting in varying weather conditions
• Able to work some labor duties
• Dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused
• Willingness to work a Monday–Saturday schedule
• Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 75 pounds throughout the workday
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful
• Able to pass background and drug screening

Pay

Pay range: $21-$22 per hour. The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $19.00 to $20.91 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.

Schedule

Scheduled Working Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7am to 5pm. Saturdays 7am to 3pm.
