Equipment Operator

About the role

The Equipment Operator position involves safely operating all equipment within the distribution center, including swing reach trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and other machines as needed. Automation Operators ensure maximum throughput, troubleshoot equipment issues, and manage labor needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all equipment within the distribution center.
• Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at the start of each shift and at full capacity.
• Check for damage and report malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
• Clean and properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and follow daily procedures and protocols.
• Communicate using various methods and bring problems to the attention of supervisors.
• Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor or maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Physical Demands: Stand and walk during scheduled hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be able to meet certification and operating requirements for machines including all OSHA and harness regulations.
• Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred, 6 months of previous equipment operations experience highly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills, and effectively communicate in case of emergencies.
