Position scope
The Equipment Operator is a safety sensitive position. The operator must be able to operate various equipment like a loader, dozer, crusher, and forklift according to safety and project specifications. The individual will be responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment daily.
Primary duties
- Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
- Assist with setup and tear down of plants
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
- General housekeeping of equipment and plant daily or as directed by supervisor
- Lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis
- Use a shovel to move material as necessary
- Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by MSHA and company policy
- Perform pre-shift inspections on equipment prior to startup
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Must hold an OSHA 10 certificate
- Able to operate equipment efficiently to maintain project specifications
- Team player
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment and ability to perform routine maintenance
- Basic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torch
