Equipment Operator

In this role, the Equipment Operator will ensure the safe and efficient operation of warehouse forklifts and electric pallet jacks while maintaining materials for production, removing finished product, and upholding a clean and safe working environment. This includes wearing all required PPE and communicating effectively with co-workers, operation leads, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily forklift safety inspections and report any deviations to the Operations Lead
• Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards
• Operate company equipment in a safe manner
• Load and unload tractor-trailer trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, or manually by hand
• Operate motorized equipment, including forklifts, clamps, cherry-pickers, and motorized pallet jacks to assemble orders and deliver to staging areas safely and efficiently
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items and quantities to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
• Receive inbounds (offload, count, and label)
• Load outbounds (identify, count, and load)
• Perform hand stacking and/or manual pack-off
• Assist other departments as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track product
• Disassemble, reassemble, or repair products, materials, or equipment
• Sort, bale, weigh, load, and recycle materials based on customer specifications

Requirements

• Sufficient formal education to read, comprehend, and act upon verbal and written information
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or six months related experience preferred
• Must be equipment certified
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate basic equipment
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
