Equipment Operator

Clean Harbors in Braintree, MA is seeking an Equipment Operator.

About the role

Operate an excavator and backhoe. Pay: $30/hour (DOE) with $1.75 added for second-shift differential. Schedule: 3 pm to 11 pm, Monday through Friday, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Operate backhoes, roll-off trucks, forklifts, and excavators safely and efficiently.
• Assist with moving drums as necessary.
• Ensure equipment is never operated in an unsafe manner or inconsistently with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork for waste tracking.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Work closely with site supervisors and crew members.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Requirements

• Able to operate yellow iron (backhoe, excavator, front-end loader).
• Experience loading and unloading bulk liquids and solids.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Housekeeping duties as required.
• Must wear PPE and be available to join the snow team in cold months.
• Must be clean-shaven (mustache okay).
• 1+ years’ experience operating an excavator, backhoe, and/or roll-off truck.
• Previous industrial labor experience considered an asset.
• Minimal computer skills.
