Equipment Operator

What You Will Be Doing Here At Team Rc

You'll be responsible for:

• Operating heavy equipment, including backhoe, loader, skip loader, skid steer, dump truck, and street sweeper, to support roadway maintenance.
• Maintaining asphalt, concrete, and roadway markings in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
• Aiding in leading a crew of highly motivated team members to complete daily assignments safely and efficiently.
• Helping drive daily work productivity and performance.
• Tracking and updating daily work activities.
• Performing preventative maintenance and minor field adjustments on assigned equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Responding to and taking the lead in emergencies, including windstorms and rain events.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience in performing asphalt, concrete and roadway marking maintenance.

Education And/or Experience

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year of experience in light or heavy equipment operation or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge and abilities.

Special Requirements

• Possession of or ability to obtain a Commercial Motor Vehicle "Class A" Driver's license and a satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
• May participate in leading field crews during normal business hours, emergency situations and/or adverse weather conditions.
