Equipment Operator

Job Summary

Operate several types of power construction equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, hoe rams, bulldozers, rubber tire loaders, end dumps, compactors, and/or skid steer to excavate, backfill, compact and prepare sub grade and final grade tasks.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Inspect and maintain equipment daily to insure safe operation
• Fastens attachments, connects hydraulic hoses, belts, etc and perform minor repairs
• Will be required to pass certification testing prior to operating some equipment
• Annual physical examination required
• Responsible for observing and complying with all company safety and project policies
• Perform other duties as required

Basic Qualifications

• The preferred candidates will have considerable experience utilizing excavator to conduct trenching and demolition activities
• Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations regarding excavation methods and practices
• Possess a valid driver's license and have acceptable driving record
• Dependable transportation and cell phone service
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Preferred applicant will have current OSHA HAZWOPER training
• Minimum 3 years' relevant construction experience and live locally (daily commute) to Hunter's Point

Pay Information

A good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $30 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
