Equipment Operator
About the role
The Equipment Operator position at Fisher Industries is a safety-sensitive role. The primary responsibilities include operating various pieces of heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, water trucks, and crushers, performing setup and teardown tasks, and maintaining equipment daily.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment efficiently to maintain production goals
- Aid in setting up and tearing down plants
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and service equipment as required or directed by supervisor
- Keep equipment and plant areas clean and organized daily
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines from M.S.H.A. and company policy
- Conduct pre-shift inspections on equipment before startup
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- M.S.H.A. 5000-23 certificate
- Ability to operate equipment efficiently to meet project specifications
- Team player attitude
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance
- Basic knowledge of welding and using a cutting torch
