Pay

Hourly rate: $32–34/hr depending on experience, skill, and location. Potential for overtime.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
• Physical ability to move objects and tools up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
• High level of dexterity
• Basic tools as per Altec tool policy
• Ability to drive motor vehicles
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Commitment to safety in all tasks

Qualifications

• Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, or construction/mining/farm equipment (e.g., excavators, skid steers, dozers, tractors)
• Experience with military heavy equipment (e.g., MRAP vehicle, HMEE, tanks)
• Experience with aircraft, aerospace, or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE)
• Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with a focus on heavy equipment
• Education in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
• Utilize technical support resources (operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, procedures, and parts identification
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area
• Adhere to Altec Safety practices and procedures
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact customer relationships
• Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values
• Perform all other duties as assigned
