Equipment Manager, Quail Creek Country Club

Quail Creek Country Club seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Head Equipment Manager for its 36-hole club. Reporting directly to the Director of Golf Course Operations, this role is integral to producing top-level playing conditions for our members and guests. The Equipment Manager oversees all aspects of turf maintenance equipment mechanical operations. This position will lead the shop to provide preventative planning, repairs, staff development, and capital planning. Key Attributes Proactive problem solverOrganized – Manages work and facilities with attention to detailLeader and developer of a mechanic team of 3Strong knowledge of turf equipment, engines, hydraulics, pumps, and fabricationProfessional integrity – Represents Quail Creek with professionalism, discretion, respect, and the pursuit of excellenceProficient in equipment maintenance programs, planning, and a willingness to continue learningStrong budget and capital managementUnderstanding of the importance of after-cut appearanceStrong communication skills Duties Lead the preventive maintenance program for all golf course and facility mechanical systems, including but not limited to:Turf and utility equipmentOutfall pumping systemGenerator systemsRobotic mowersESD wash padInspect, diagnose, and repair diesel, electric, and gasoline-powered equipmentPerform and oversee reel grinding and cutting unit setup to exacting standardsTrain and instruct staff on the operation, care, and cleaning of equipmentManage equipment records, budgeting, parts inventory, and repair documentationManage vendor and contractor relationshipsCollaborate with the Administrative Assistant to prepare and process invoicesParticipate in continuing education and professional association developmentImplements environmentally responsible maintenance practices in compliance with federal and state regulations, including waste oil disposal, chemical storage, and stormwater managementExperience supporting tournament-level conditions, including coordination with agronomy teams and external crews to maintain championship-ready standardsDemonstrates ingenuity in fabrication, with the ability to engineer and modify parts or tools to optimize performance and efficiencyIntegrates equipment management strategies with overall course conditioning objectives through regular communication with the Superintendents and Director of Golf Courses & GroundsProven experience as a leader at a similar club About Quail Creek Country Club Founded in 1981, Quail Creek Country Club is a full-service, private, member-owned country club.
