About the role
Oversee the assignment, tracking, maintenance coordination, reallocation, and sale of company-owned tractors and trailers. Play a key role in maximizing fleet utilization, supporting operational efficiency, and ensuring equipment assets deliver value throughout their lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage tractor and trailer assignments, tracking, and reporting to ensure accurate asset visibility.
- Coordinate equipment allocation with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor equipment utilization, mileage, and performance data to support redeployment and resale decisions.
- Oversee equipment reallocation, disposal, and sales activities, including vendor and buyer coordination.
- Troubleshoot equipment-related issues, including tracking devices and onboard technology.
- Analyze equipment KPIs and collaborate with leadership to improve fleet efficiency and asset performance.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office applications.
Qualifications
Experience in transportation, fleet operations, or equipment management.
